Handyman assembling a wardrobe in the bedroom of a flat in Valencia, with the screwdriver and the panels on the floor

A handyman in Valencia charges between 16 and 28 € per hour in 2026, with 21 € on average, although the first hour costs more: 40-70 € in Spain. Assembling an IKEA PAX wardrobe comes to 80-120 € per metre and hanging a TV on a fixed bracket to 50-60 €. These are market prices, not our rates.

A handyman clears in one visit that list of small jobs you've been putting off for months: the wardrobe still in its boxes, the roller blind that goes up crooked, the mirror leaning against the wall since you moved in, the tap that drips at night. In Valencia and the towns of l'Horta you tell us what's on your list, we send you back the price in writing and, if it suits you, an independent professional who works with us comes to your home. You pay at the end, once you've seen it done.

Furniture assembly and small repairs in a home in Valencia

What people ask for on a handyman visit

Almost anything that isn't building work. What we get most:

  • Furniture assembly: PAX-style wardrobes, chests of drawers, shelving units, desks, beds and those Amazon boxes that have been sitting in the hallway for three weeks.
  • Hanging things with a drill, wall plugs and a spirit level: TV, pictures, mirrors, shelves, curtain poles, clothes airers, towel rails.
  • Roller blinds (persianas) that won't go up, go up sideways or have chewed up the strap: new strap, strap winder, bearings or motor.
  • Doors and locks: a door that rubs against the frame, sagging hinges, changing the lock cylinder, fitting a peephole, or replacing interior doors when they're past repair.
  • One-off plumbing and electrical fixes: a tap, a cistern mechanism, a wobbly socket (if it has no power, first run the “socket not working” test), a ceiling light, a dead spotlight in a high ceiling.

Combine several things in one visit whenever you can. It's cheaper than calling three times for three small jobs, and the professional arrives knowing which tools and parts they need.

What isn't covered here: building work with rubble, complete new installations, work hanging off the outside of the building and anything involving gas. All of that is quoted separately, with a visit if the job calls for one. And if yours is clearly a job for a specific trade, look at plumber in Valencia or electrician in Valencia instead.

How it works, from start to finish

  1. You tell us about it. A couple of photos and a ten-second video explain more than three paragraphs: the furniture in its box, the wall where the TV goes, the blind box opened up.
  2. You get the fixed price in writing, with what's included and what isn't. That's the price you pay.
  3. The professional from the right trade who works in your area comes round. You have their name and phone number in your account before they arrive.
  4. You see it finished and pay: cash, Bizum (Spain's instant bank-transfer app) or bank transfer, whichever suits you.

If halfway through the job something turns up that couldn't be seen in the photos (the wall is plasterboard (pladur) and the TV bracket won't hold, the blind box is cracked), nobody raises the price on their own. You get a new proposal with the amount and you decide: accept it, or it stays as it was.

Rough 2026 market ranges. These are not our rates: we give you the fixed price in writing before work starts.

The table by city and by job, in more detail, is in our guide to how much a handyman charges in Spain; if yours is mostly furniture assembly, see how much furniture assembly costs. If it's painting you've been putting off, the figures per metre and per room are in how much it costs to paint a flat, and the whole job in painter in Valencia.

Our price doesn't come from a table of hours. It comes from the job you describe to us, and you have it in writing before anyone picks up the drill.

Why we give a fixed price and not an hourly rate

With an hourly rate, you're the one watching the clock. If the professional takes twice as long because the wall is hard or a screw was missing, you pay for it. With a fixed price that risk is ours: the figure you accepted is the one you pay at the end, and however many hours the job takes is our problem, not yours.

The price comes with what's included, what isn't and what happens if something goes wrong, all in writing. And if something isn't right, you tell us. We handle the complaint, we don't send you off to talk to whoever came.

Areas we cover

We cover Valencia city and the surrounding towns of l'Horta: Mislata, Burjassot, Paterna, Quart de Poblet, Manises, Aldaia, Alaquàs, Xirivella, Torrent, Picanya, Paiporta, Catarroja, Alfafar, Benetússer, Sedaví, Massanassa, Alboraia and Tavernes Blanques.

In the city, the call-out fee is included in the price. If your town carries a distance surcharge, it's written on the quote before you accept, never at the end. And if your town isn't on the list, ask us anyway: a quick no also helps you look elsewhere.

Send us your list of jobs and we'll tell you today what the whole lot costs.

Questions and answers

What people ask us about handyman before getting a quote. If your question isn’t here, message us on WhatsApp.

How much does a handyman charge per hour in Valencia?

Cronoshare's price guide for Valencia puts a handyman's hourly rate at between 16 and 28 €, with 21 € on average, and almost all of them charge more for the first hour because it includes the journey. These are rough figures, not our rate: we don't charge by the clock, we give you a fixed price for the specific job before work starts.

Can I get IKEA, Amazon or second-hand furniture assembled?

Yes, and the pieces that arrive with no instructions too. To price it, it helps to know the model or the measurements, how many parts there are and whether the furniture needs fixing to the wall, which is a must for tall wardrobes and chests of drawers in a home with children. If a fitting is missing or a part arrives broken, we tell you before it's assembled, not after.

Can I combine several small jobs in one visit?

That's the best way to do it. Send us the whole list on WhatsApp with a photo of each thing: the mirror, the blind, the dripping tap. It all gets quoted together and the professional arrives with the parts and tools needed for everything. It works out better than booking three separate visits in three different weeks.

Do I pay for the quote, or does it commit me to anything?

Neither. It's free, you usually have it in under 2 hours and you can say no without giving a reason. We don't charge for the assessment because nobody needs to get in a car to give you a price: photos or a short video show almost everything.

Do you do urgent jobs or work on Saturdays?

We put urgent requests first, but there's no night shift or on-call phone here, and we'd rather say so. If we can't make it today, you find out in our first reply and not at nine in the evening. For a Saturday or an afternoon, ask us about that specific day and we'll tell you whether we can or not.

Who comes into my home?

An independent professional who works with us, from the right trade and from your area. You see their name and phone number in your account before they ring the bell, so you know who you're opening the door to. If something isn't right, you tell us and we sort it out, without sending you off to argue with whoever came.
