A plasterboard (pladur) false ceiling costs between 20 and 35 €/m² in 2026 if it's continuous and simple, with materials and labour, and a plasterboard partition wall between 25 and 40 €/m². With sound insulation, the ceiling goes up to 30-45 €/m². These are market ranges, not our rates.
A plasterboard ceiling is paid for by the metre and gets pricier with every corner. Twelve plain metres in an empty living room are among the cheapest things in building work. The same twelve metres in a hallway with five junctions, two access hatches and a box around the downpipe are a different story. That's why you won't see a per-metre rate here: tell us what you want to do, send photos and rough measurements, and we'll send back the price for your case in writing before anyone fixes a single stud. Usually in under 2 hours.
The fitting is done by an independent professional who works with us and makes a living from this trade. Our part is handling the booking: the price, the dates and the conversation if something goes wrong. Better to know that today than once there are studs on the ceiling.

What you can do with plasterboard
Lots of people come to us thinking about a ceiling and end up sorting three things at once, because in this kind of work the expensive part is setting up the scaffold and the protection, not the board.
- False ceilings: Continuous, with an access hatch to reach a stopcock (llave de paso) or a drain, with recessed spotlights or LED track, with a stepped edge for indirect lighting. It's also the usual way to hide the ducts of a ducted air conditioning system or the pipe of a split unit that runs across the ceiling. And if those spotlights need a new line, an electrician comes in as part of the same job.
- Partition walls: To split a big room in two, close off a walk-in wardrobe, make a home office in the living room or separate the kitchen from the dining room without brickwork. With mineral wool inside and double boards it performs much better than the material's reputation suggests.
- Wall linings (trasdosados): This is board fixed on the inside against an existing wall. It's used to add insulation to a cold outside wall, to cover an ugly or uneven wall and, with a lot of care, to live with a wall that lets in damp. Be careful with that last one: lining doesn't cure damp, it hides it. Fix the cause first.
And the small jobs that fill out any renovation: boxing in downpipes and exposed pipes, niches and light shelves, a made-to-measure TV unit, and replacing boards burst by a knock or by a leak from upstairs.
In ground-floor flats and commercial premises in the towns that were hit hardest by the DANA floods, partition walls are still turning up swollen only in the bottom twenty or thirty centimetres. In quite a few cases the whole wall doesn't need redoing: the bottom strip is cut out, treated, replaced and finished. It works out much cheaper, and it's worth asking before tearing anything down.

Rough 2026 market ranges, these are not our rates: we give you the fixed price in writing before work starts.
The ceiling step by step, with what each extra adds, is in how much a plasterboard false ceiling costs. And how many boards, profiles and screws yours needs is worked out by the plasterboard calculator from your measurements.
What sends the figure up in a quote: the height (anything over three metres changes how it's installed), junctions and corners, each door opening with its reinforcement, moisture-resistant board in bathrooms and kitchens, fire-resistant board where it's required, and the level of finish you ask for.
And something hardly anyone includes in the comparison: rubble and cleaning up. Always ask whether the offcuts get taken away or stay on your terrace.
How it works
- Tell us your idea. Through the quote form or on WhatsApp. With photos of the room and rough measurements (length, width and height) there's enough to work with; you don't need to measure with an architect's precision.
- You get the fixed price in writing. What gets done, which materials are included, what finish, how many days and what isn't included. Free and with no obligation, usually in under 2 hours. For big jobs a visit may be needed before the figure can be fixed, and we tell you.
- We agree the dates and you know who's coming. The professional's name and phone number before they turn up at your door.
- It gets done and you pay at the end. Cash, Bizum (Spain's instant bank-transfer app) or bank transfer. If the job is long and materials have to be bought in advance, that's agreed and written into the quote before work starts, never halfway through.
If opening up uncovers something that couldn't be seen (a beam where there shouldn't be one, a ceiling that isn't level, damp behind the wall), nobody improvises: you get a new proposal with its price and you decide whether the work carries on or stops.
Areas we cover
Valencia city and the surrounding towns of l'Horta: Mislata, Burjassot, Paterna, Quart de Poblet, Manises, Aldaia, Alaquàs, Xirivella, Torrent, Picanya, Paiporta, Catarroja, Alfafar, Benetússer, Sedaví, Massanassa, Alboraia and Tavernes Blanques. If you live further out, ask: we'd rather tell you we don't cover your area than keep you waiting.
What changes most from one building to another is the ceiling height. In the seventies blocks of Mislata, Alfafar or Torrent it's tight: lowering the ceiling ten centimetres to fit spotlights is noticeable as soon as you walk into the room, and it often makes sense to lower just a strip and leave the rest up.
And one practical point: the noise of a power screwdriver at eight in the morning causes more trouble with the neighbours than anything else. Working hours are planned around what your building allows.
Why we agree the price before work starts
Because small jobs are where a figure stretches the most, and always in the same direction.
It starts as “a ceiling in the living room” and ends with a box for the pipe, an access hatch nobody had planned and a strip of indirect lighting that was mentioned in passing. Each addition is reasonable on its own; the problem is finding out what they cost once they're already up.
Our deal is simple: the figure is in writing before anyone touches anything. Extras are accepted one by one, with their price in front of you, or they don't get done. And if something isn't right, the conversation is with us, we don't send you off to argue with whoever installed it.
Ask for a plasterboard quote. With photos and rough measurements the price can already be fixed.
